Well us ring-nuts have to wait one more year until we can see the next and sadly, final chapter in the LotR movie trilogy. What will I have to look forward to after that?
Anyway, there are several things we can look forward to until then: the first trailer for RotK (released right when TTT is leaving theatres, to get more business), the DVD of TTT (usually August), second trailer (October 1st for TTT if I'm not mistaken), the EE of the DVD, then finally, December 17th- RotK.
As such, I think it would be a good idea to have a countdown until December 17th, I'll try to update it daily, but if I can't, hopefully one of you will do it for me.
As of December 31, 2002- there are 351 full days left, the countdown doesn't include today.
So just 8424 hours left!
Hope to see you there.

I can't wait a year. I just can't. It's too far away.

"What will I have to look forward to after that?"
The Theatrical release of the ROTK DVD, the EE DVD, and to see if a fantasy film finally wins best picture at the Oscars. It's got all the ingredients. Tragic death and change in everybody's lives, and how they'll never be the same again. I think if even ROTK is not the best film of 2003, and it doesn't win best picture, the Oscars are going to receive massive criticism.

just think, in 347 days, it'll only be a few hours until the midnight showing!

I can bearly contain myself!

Valley, this is great. LOL, I love it. Can't wait till ROTK either.
"And you have my bow..."
luckily tomorrow, i can start counting down... i'll need to take my shoes off.
again, sorry. my internet was out
And only a few months until the trailer comes out!
8136 hours left! who's got a watch?
the road goes ever on and on for 338 more days.
Sure no one cares now... but come December, you'll be glad I'd doing this.
one, two, three, four, can I have a little more?
five, six, seven eight nine ten I love you.
Sorry I missed the past few days, I was in the great city of New York. On an off topic, if you haven't seen it yet, and can, go see Les Miserables ASAP.
If you're interested, we already passes one month, so 1/12 of the way there!
7896 hours
473760 minutes
28425600 seconds.
i wonder if anyone reads this post.
10.86 months!
And to answer the numerous queries, yes, I do have a life other than this MOM!
you could watch FotR, and TTT back to back 1296 times, and then go see RotK.
If someone I know were to get pregnant, they would have the baby before RotK opens. Now that's depressing.
can't wait for the preview to come out. looking forward to that even more than the film... because its so much closer.
321? I wish it would continue, and it would be ZERO!
You are Valley the Brave
and I will put you into my songs and stories!
Hang on in there!
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
Well we're almost past the first full month. Congrads everyone. It'll get easier when TTT leaves theatres, and we're not all foaming at the mouth as much.
I can't wait until March... or at least 19 days from now. It'll sound much better to have it be in the 200 days.
I've decided, I can use these 319 days to really do some good. A great time period, I can really put my life into focus... anyone else with me? I can map out my progress here each day.

Ok, I've set up my life management into a few parts: physical, mental and social.
Meaning I gotta buff up, study more, and get out more. To start out:
I won't detail any further unless I get responces saying that they want me to.
Good news, my social life is growing. But fear not, I shall still post daily!
not much going on for me. i've almost finished my second script. so kudos to me.
Work is piling up... thankfully I have the official countdown to work on, and have an excuse to put it all off
Boy did I have a good day today. I'm in a good mood, except for the fact that I have to wait 314 days! Grrr.
What did you do today? I went to school, then to my friend's birthday, I won't have to do that again until RotK opens.
Doesn't seem like we made any progress... but oh well. Soon we'll pas the two month mark.
Strange... I've never heard the number 311 before... Doesn't seem to fit...
Sorry I missed yesterday. I was in court... for fun though.
Not long and it will only be 200 days. That's not bad if you think about it. For future reference, oscar nominations came out today, looks like the novelty has worn off for the voters... one things for sure, they're not ringnuts!
I wonder what will happen in the next 308 days... I wish it was then, and I didn't have to worry about them.
If you add up all the numbers left, it makes zero!! No wait, one!! Darn it! I can't wait one more day! Let along 7 of them... and 300 after that.
Shouldn't be too long until we get the first preview, I plan on seeing TTT again tomorrow, or sometime this weekend.
Hmmm. My school used to get out at 3:05. Suddenly I feel like a character in WAG THE DOG.
I'm so happy! I'm going to go see TWO movies today! About Schmidt (sp?) and Chicago. Hope they'll be good!
Boy those were good movies I saw yesterday, really glad I went. And lucky too, its snowing so much today that all the movie houses are closed!! AHHH! No TTT for me today!
Yesterday was the 10 month warning everyone! Now only 9.9 months left to wait!
Looks like some people have started to doubt THE OFFICIAL COUNTDOWN! Darn it! I hear there's another countdown on the RotK board, I haven't checked it myself, but I'll bet they're the same. But is it official??? I think not!! In order to make it official you must put it on the title!! Sigh. I'm in a bad mood today. Not really understanding this chapter of math... I hate sines and cosines and tangents etc etc etc. I wanna go back to addition!
A MILESTONE EVERYONE! Wow, I've been doing this for more than 50 days! Even though this is the least read thread on TTT board, its probably the oldest! Yay! I think I might celebrate by... I don't know, watching FotR! I don't think I've done that since TTT opened.... what have I been waiting for? Anyway, its great to be here with all of you. Thanks for everything ringnuts.
Less than 300 days!! But of couse we'll be in the 200 range for a while... about 99 days. Anyway, it'll probably be less than a month before the trailer for RotK appears, so there's always that!
Seems so much father than when it was 300 days... must be the zeros. Anyway, I might be going to see TTT again today. Yippie!
I realized what was so sad yesterday, its so long until the next checkpoint! You know, I'm running out of things to say... TTT left my theatre, I have to drive an hour now to do and see it. (grumble grumble grumble) I plan on taking my mom to see it today, she hasn't yet. But because I've seen it 3 times already, and she hasn't seen many of the movies up for oscars, she might want to go see something else. I wouldn't mind doing this, but come on mom! Its Lord of the Rings!
The official countdown has reached its 55th birthday. Of course that's in days, but it's still pretty good! I showed my mom TTT yesterday, she failed the test, she's not a ringnut.
I haven't done the minute countdown recently, here goes:
7104 hours
490176 minutes. we've come pretty far. but not far enough.
100 days ago it was a whole year. Meaning in about 20 days we'll be 1/3 of the way there! That's pretty good, especially considering I can still see TTT on the big screen (have to drive a ways, but oh well). It'll be easier this year, we can watch FotR whenever we want, and have little marathons when part 2 comes out.
There was an error on this one.
Sorry, made an error yesterday. Put 265 days rather than 295 (I've fixed it though)... Guess I got too eager... that a whole 30 days we have to live through!!! Sob! Anyway, at least it gave me something to write about today, I'm running out of ideas.
I got interviewed for a scholarship yesterday... I'll probably find out if I got it tomorrow, wish me luck! Just don't jinx it... anyway, I was thinking the other day, wouldn't LotR make a great musical? Imagine the songs (besides the ones Tolkien wrote for it)
For example:
Frodo's song-
I am a ring-bearer, and I can't bear it...
I have to carry a ring, but I can't wear it...
ring bearerrrrr! ring bearer!
I'm here with my friend Sam,
he gives me the strength to not put this on my hand....
ring bearerrrrr! ring bearer!
Just wait until you hear Gollum's moving love song "my precious" and Treebeard's tap dance.
Boy I don't know what I was thinking about yesterday... everyone knows Ents can't tapdance, they hate moving... which is why I like them so much. I was thinking, one of the things I'm so sad when I finish LotR is not that the ending is sad, but that it's over. Anyone understand??
Boy its lonely at the official countdown.
Well, I'm going to go see TTT again today (5th time). Hopefully this time my mom will better understand Gollum, and I'll use the maps of Middle-Earth I have to explain who everyone is, and where they come from.
On a side note, its the 60th day anniversery of THE OFFICIAL COUNTDOWN! boy I remember when it all started.... Happy birthday post!
I just got word from another thread that the official DVD date for TTT is August 26, 2003.
So I'm going to double the work on the countdown, and show how many days until the DVD comes out.
So far, with 29 days left in March, 30 in both April and June, 31 in May and July, and 26 in August- there are only 186 days left until I see TTT again (I'm not going to see it in the movies again... weep.
I went to see TTT again yesterday, my mom really liked it, but still had problems knowing who everyone was (eg. the men with Gandalf at the end.). Ahhh! Oh well. Just goes to show that, as stated in my post, being a ringnut isn't genetic.
185 left until the DVD comes out.
I noticed a lot of old posts are coming back... one I posted months ago, one from even before TTT opened! Amazing. Anyway, its cold today, but the sun is out. Go figure.
Wait - today is Monday. So isn't it 288 days?
You are a daughter of kings. A shieldmaiden of Rohan.
Shouldn't be... I haven't missed a day in a while, and last time I checked I was right. I don't really have the time to figure it all out again, if you wanted to I'd be glad to change it, but either way, one day isn't going to make much of a difference, and when it gets closer we'll know for sure. But thanks a lot though, gotta keep the official countdown on their toes.
184 days until the DVD.
What a day what a day what a day. Had a terrific LotR discussion/ trivia game with a friend of mine, he knows 100x more than me... knows the name of every dwarf in THE HOBBIT (and their fathers), practically the whole history of Middle-Earth. I'd better go stike up a conversation with my mom to make myself feel better.
183 days until the DVD.
Boy I'm so bored its a wonder no one posts threads on me. (Pause) I found all my old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures last night, so I've been playing up a storm all day. Lucky me.
182 days until the DVD.
I was thinking earlier today, there sure are a lot of mean logos out today... the doughboy for example, he used to be a nice guy, but now he's evil (very anti-poptart)... they should be more like the hamburger helper hand. Agree?
181 days until the DVD.
I'm at my aunt's house right now... using her terrific new computer... I wonder what its like to own something really cool like this... probably don't notice it, I don't take much heed to my really cool TV anymore... probably because its not in my room.
178 days until the DVD.
SYSTEM ERROR HUH??? I blame the trolls!
Anyway, I've been doing this the past few days, here's what you missed.
Saturday was 284 and 180
Sunday was 283 and 179
I said some really good stuff too, real profound... we'll never get it back now. Sigh.
177 days.
boy the board is quiet nowadays... usually almost all the threads were getting posted on at least once an hour, now on the first page we have 1 day old threads. the fad must be fading. i hope all my ringnut friends will still stay here.
176 days.
A milestone in the wait, two hundred and eighty days. Boy it really seems long with you put it like that... I wonder what will happen in the next 280 days. I hope things are better.
175 days.
Sonny Joe Money here, filling in for Val while he's away!
Well, if 280 days is a milestone for the RotK wait, then 175 days is a milestone for the TTT DVD wait. By that time I'll have graduated from high school! (By the way, I cannot wait for that day to come.) For some there is their graduation date, for me there will be the TTT DVD date!
The fool looks at a finger that points at the sky...

174 days.
Hmmm (or should that be "Hroom"?) I can't think of anything to put down here, except that I'm making my dad buy a new VCR (ours is broken, won't record) so that I can tape the Oscars, since I won't be home Sunday night. Hopefully it will be worth it! But Val will probably want to talk about those when he gets back.
The fool looks at a finger that points at the sky...

173 days.
Found out after I posted yesterday that the Oscars aren't this week but next week. Feel like a moron now, but will probably be over it soon. First horse show of the year tomorrow. Wish me luck! Very excited, but also very tired due to being at barn today for over 12 hours. Must sleep now. Val returns tomorrow. Hooray!
The fool looks at a finger that points at the sky...

172 days.
Well I'm back everyone! I would like to publically thank Sonny Joe Money for doing an excellent job filling in for me while I was out of town. Thanks you very much good sir, and congradulations on your upcoming graduation.
On a side note, I've gotten several notes about how the countdown is one day off, which must've happened when I went out of town earlier and didn't have anyone cover for me. Just goes to show you I guess... I know it was right when I started it, I must've goofed up about a month ago. But anyway, to fix the problem, I didn't change the number today, its the same as it was yesterday, only correct now. But keep in mind, in Asia I'm correct--> which would make for an excellent bumper sticker.
171 days.
Not much longer really until the DVD comes out... not much longer until school gets out, then summer, and the DVD. I'm looking forward to the preview of RotK which should be on it. Anyway, Oscars will be around soon- according to my predictions, LotR will only win Visual effects. Sigh. Here are my predictions.
Makeup: Frida
F/X: LotR- TTT
Costume design: Gangs of New York (GoNY)
Sound: Chicago
Sound editing: Minority Report (though LotR deserves it more...)
Foreign language film: Nowhere in Africa
Live action short film/ animated short film/ documentary short subject: ??? haven't seen any of them.
Art direction: GoNY (can't really remember, what were the major sets in TTT? Fangorn forest I guess... and Edoras... hmmm. I forgot about Edoras, that could make it win actually)
Song: Hands that Built America- U2
Score: Far From Heaven
Documentary: Bowling for Columbine
Editing: Chicago
Animated feature: Spirited Away
Cinematography: GoNY (this was the hardest one to choose)
Adapted Screenplay: The Hours (I want Adaptation to win, but this list is for what I think will win, not what I want)
Original screenplay: Talk to Her (another hard one to choose)
Support Actress: Catherine Zeta-Jones
Supporting Actor: Chris Cooper
Actress: Nicole Kidman
Actor: Adrien Brody
Director: Rob Marshall
Picture: Chicago
Your guesses? I wonder how accurate I am... usually I'm pretty good, but not so much for the major awards.
170 days.
big day tomorrow, lot of tests and stuff I have to do/ take.
As a note, it seems very likely that war will start tonight- I don't want to get into who supports it or not, but I would like everyone who reads this post to pray (if you do) that if there is war, it is over very quickly, with little loss of life. Pray that peace in the middle-east brings stablity to the region, and that all those who are oppressed in Iraq can start to live their life without fear.
I know a lot of people are depressed about the war, and what could happen because of it, I am reminded of a speech: "Its like in the old stories, the ones that really matter... full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was after so much bad had happened... one day the sun will rise, even darkness must pass, and when the sun shines though it'll shine out the clearer! Because there's still some good left in the world, and its worth fighting for."

169 days.
I'm really excited all of a sudden, I just beat the hardest level of Minesweeper, something I've been trying to do for a long time! Yes!! Uh. I don't get out much.
I had something else to say, but I forget it now... anyway, I'm really looking forward to the Oscars on Sunday, hope TTT does better than I think it will.
168 days.
I remember what I forgot yesterday, the library at my school started putting up LotR read posters. (You know those posters with a picture of a celeb reading, and the caption "So and so for America's libraries? Like that.) They're pretty clever. One has Frodo reading a book with the caption "make it a hobbit" and the other has Gandalf reading a book- "discover the magic"
Works for me!
167 days.
I was just wondering, did Tolkien invent the word "hobbit"? Whenever I read something about LotR or The Hobbit, its never explained. It wouldn't surprise me, I really can't believe someone could do all that work for fun like J.R.R Tolkien did... I would probably lose interest soon.
168 days.
Well its oscar night, I'm really looking forward to it. I have my lists of winners already chosen, and my drinks are already cooling in the fridge. I really like that Steve Martin, he's was funny last time, and I'm sure he'll do great again this time too. Know who I think would be a good oscar host? Gimli, son of Gloin. He funny too.
167 days.
Well the oscars were last night, and TTT did better than I expected, winning two awards (Sound Editing and F/X), compared to my prediction, one.
All in all, my predictions were pretty on target (I posted them a few days ago on this thread, if you want to see how I did).
Out of I think 21 possible (as I said in an earlier post, I didn't guess on Doc short subject, animated short, or live action short as I didn't see any of the ones up), I got 13 correct. Not bad... could've been worse. The ones I missed were:
Director: I guessed Rob Marshall (Chicago), but Roman Polanski came out of nowhere to win it. But he a classic director, and I'm sure he deserved it (haven't seen The Pianist)
Screenplay (Adaptation): I guessed The Hours (David Hare), but again, The Pianist came out to win it thanks to Ronald Harwood's script.
Cinematography: I guessed Gangs of New York (which should've gotten something at least), but it went to Road to Perdition... which deserved it. I didn't know what to choose for that one for a long time.
Original Score: I guessed Far From Heaven (Elmer Bernstein), but it went to Frida (Elliot Goldenthal). At this time I would once again like to ask why Howard Shore was not up.
Original Song: I guessed The Hands that Built America (U2), but Lose Yourself (Eminem) came in first... a big surprise, the voters must be more in touch with the times than we thought. (Or are they?)
Art Direction: I thought Gangs of New York was a sure lock for this one, but no, Chicago got it. Which made me mad, GoNY built an entire city (so did TTT of course), and Chicago wasn't very impressive when you compare them. In my opinion of course.
Sound Editing: I thought Minority Report, but I was glad to lose to TTT, but this is such a subtle one to vote for, especially when you don't have the video in front of you.
Costume Design: Again, I had GoNY, but Chicago got me. I guess I can understand that, easier than I can art direction at least.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the show!
166 days.
One thing I forgot to say yesterday about the oscars, how on Earth could they not show the clips for the actors? Or play a little bit of the scores when they were up? I really enjoyed the show, but that would've made it a lot better.
165 days.
Boy this board is active today. Usually I find the official countdown on page three on the board, today it was on page 6. Nice to see all the ringnuts hanging out.
On another note, this is the 100th posting on the official countdown, which is a milestone for the thread, not for the wait. But still, horray!
164 days.
Boy spring has finally arrived, and not a moment too soon... I'd almost want to go outside and walk around, only there's nowhere to go where I live, and I all things stated, I'd rather be watching LotR.

163 days.
Going to see The Righteous Brothers in concert tonight, saw CATS on Wednesday... I hate having a social life.

162 days.
One hundred days ago TTT opened. (+/- 1 day) We haven't quite reached the 1/3 mark yet, but we're closing in on it fast!
161 days.
I was hanging out with my neighbor last night, and we were playing video games, and he had the LotR video game, so I finally got to try it! Of course, I had to restrain myself from correcting him (Those are Uruk-hai, not orcs!! For the last time! AHHHH!) a lot, and had to take some of the levels with a grain of salt. (We played as Aragon, and one level has you on the wall of Helm's deep kicking the ladders off, if too many Uruk-hai get on the wall, you lose (there's an animation of Legolas getting it right in the gut with a sword... ouch). Naturally, no one else kicked the ladders off, and the elves kept getting in my way! Humph!)
A lot of the levels weren't in the movie (there was no battle in Fangorn forest, Aragon never stood alone outside the wall into Helm's deep and defended it, Aragon never had to defend small towns in Rohan on his way to Edoras, the wolves never invaded a town, etc. etc. etc.), but it was still a fun game, it looked a lot like the movie, had some clips and so forth. I'm not planning on buying it, but I'm going back over there today, so yippie!
160 days.
I'll have to check, but it seems like I've been doing the official countdown for a long, long time. I know I started before new years... so I decided this would be my final day of posting on the official countdown, its gone on long enough, and I don't think anybody reads it anyway. So, goodbye all, I'll still post on the board, but not this thread.
159 days.
APRIL FOOLS!!!! Ha! I wonder if I got anybody with that one... you know you're out there if I did. Anyway, there is nothing to fear, I shall not leave my post here at the countdown until after RotK opens. Have a good April everybody.
158 days.
Boy I'm really running out of things to say here at TOC!... I wish it were a few months from now, so I could see all I will say in the next while. Anyway, prom time is coming up, so I have to start looking around for a date, this is the tricky part. Rejection is easy.
157 days.
Reached another milestone... the all too critical 260 day mark. I'm in a bit of a bind now because I don't know if I have math work to do for tomorrow, I don't remember my teacher saying anything, but that doesn't mean anything. Guess I should do it and look smart. (Boy I'll bet this is bringing back so many memories for our more experienced ringnuts... by which I mean post-school age ringnuts.) Anyway, happy Thursday.
156 days.
I'm in the mood to read LotR again, when I'm done reading my current book (Ellison's Invisible Man) I'm going to go on a all- Tolkien diet, read the five books of his that I own (The Sim, The Hobbit, and then LotR). That might not be wise though, I might get too excited about RotK... and we have a long way to go.
155 days.
Sigh, I really dislike this computer... just now its trying to tell me I performed an illegal operation. Boy sometimes I'd like to perform an illegal operation... on it! Mua ha ha ha. Thank you, that one only took me a few hours to think of.
Anyway, going to see a play tonight, and a good friend of mine is the lead. I'm really excited, but these things kinda depress me, because I don't really have a lot to show for my life like they do, except for, of course, the official countdown.
154 days.
Once again, I'm amazed at how talented some people can be. I bring this up in the light of the play I saw last night, which showed exactly who should be the big stars in coming years.
Anyway, on another note, take a look at the official countdown in thread mode (as opposed to flat mode etc, if that's not the mode you're in). Funny, I just reply to the previous post, so it looks like this
-
-
-

etc etc etc. only more than 100 times!

Strange, my tabbing idea didn't work yesterday. In case you were wondering, it was supposed to have a "-", then another one on the next line, only a space ahead.
Anyway, its springtime- but its snowing!

152 days.
Well I'm back to reading LotR, I started yesterday, and am now on TTT (refer to my Tolkien reading journal for further information- I'll post the link tomorrow).
I had a really stupid LotR pun earlier today to share... it escapes me now. Oh well. I'll remember it at midnight tonight probably, wake up screaming stupid jokes.

As I said yesterday, here is the link for my Tolkien reading journal, if you're interested in reading it: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0167261/board/flat/1135945
Boy I'm really blocked here, I can't think of a thing to say. But you know what I think would be cool? LotR told from different people's views. Imagine one from Sauron! Yeah I'm bored.

I'd love to read it from the point of view of Eowyn. I think that could be fun.
"I hope that the forgotten people will not have forgotten how to fight."

A landmark day for the DVD countdown, about five months from now...
I was just thinking, in the aftermath of the war of the ring, know what a great money making idea would be? Follow the ring bearer's trail!
You and a group start out in Hobbiton, and walk all the way to Minas Tirith. From there you'll take a day trip to see the smoking rubble that once was Mt. Doom. Along the way (taking the same route as Frodo and Sam did), you will see all sorts of wonderful sights, now that the war is over and peace reigns in the world, visitors can see such wonderous sights as Rivendell, Moria, etc. etc. etc.
One can also choose the path of the King, which includes Rohan and Edoras, but the brave will take the full ringbearer's trail, and get to go through the marshes etc etc.
What do you think? Would it make money?

Another landmark, a day named after a football move. I think at least, I'm not into sports to a high degree (about zero degrees). I wonder if any sports are played in Middle-Earth, you gotta figure that Aragon would be a great football player.

Today is a landmark day (we've been having a lot of them recently huh), today is the end of the first 100 days of the Official Countdown. So thanks to everyone, and we'll be here in another 100 days, but RotK won't be.

Two hundred and fifty days... boy oh boy. This must be the oldest active thread on the whole IMDb, and if not that, then at least the ones with the most posts by the first author of the thread. I must be around 90% of the total amount of threads on this thing... I have no idea if I should be proud or ashamed of that.
Anyway, TTT seems to have left theatres everywhere but the major cities or the places with about 1200 screens. Meaning I'll have to download the RotK trailer when it comes out. I thought it was going to come out in March, but here it is in the middle of April, and no word yet. I can't wait. Can't be more than a month or so, that's easier to swallow than 250 days.

Boy I'm bored... and not in a very happy mood today either. But oh well, this one will have to be short... unlike, say, the number 249

Well among other things happening in the world, it seems that the major part of the military conflict in Iraq has ended. Let's pray that the peace in Iraq will diffuse throughout the rest of the world. And let's hope that in less than 250 days, the only war I'll be watching non-stop is the war of the ring.

Its been a while since I did the breakdown of days and weeks, so let's do that now.
We have about 35 weeks until it opens.
5928 hours...
355680 minutes.
This is starting to depress me.

I'm in a pretty good mood today... and want to wish everyone reading the countdown a Happy Good Friday, and if you're not Catholic, then I hope your Friday is still good. Anyway, I'll be out of town for a few days, so you might have another ringnut take over for me... just want to wish you all a Happy Easter in the interim.
See you in a few days!

Hello there! I'm filling in for Val for a few days. I dreamt last night that I had obtained a boxed set of FotR, TTT, and RotK. It was still the present time, though; the set was definately on the sly. I was watching them all in order in my dream, and I had only just gotten to TTT. When I woke up I was so dissapointed! I was also a little mad at myself. Why didn't I watch RotK first?

I'm at my grandparents house. Dial-up stinks. Am in a sadly LotR deprived environment. No one to talk with about it. Luckily for me my brother is a computer geek (I mean that in a good way!) and has FotR on his laptop. I have my book too, so despite being lonely in it I can still have my LotR. My brother has no faith in PJ, though. Ah the joys of family.

Happy Easter! (I have a feeling that markup will be used a lot today.) If you don't celebrate Easter, than have a happy Sunday and eat some chocolate just for the fun of it. I will be home tomorrow where an internet page loads within five minutes. Will enjoy that. Must go and talk to a spate of cousins now. Val will be back tomorrow yippee!

All my thanks and compliments to Sonny Joe Money, boy, if everyone was like him, there wouldn't be any problems in the world. Or would there.... this is an interesting idea. I know that if everyone in the world was like me, I would quickly go nuts, especially if they all looked like me. But I digress... thanks to SJM for taking over the extreme burden of the Official Countdown.
ANyway, I was reading Dave Berry's colum earlier today, and saw that it was about LotR. (you can read it at http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/living/columnists/dave_barry/5670067.htm)
It concerns several ringnuts that wrote him explaining why his former colum on LotR, which you can read at: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/living/columnists/dave_barry/5023564.htm
was wrong. Come on, fess up, which of you did it?

Wow. even though I took a few days off for business, I still can't think of anything to say in the official countdown.
Anyway, do you think in the post-war of the ring Middle-Earth, eventually, they will start creating things like electricity and start building large cities? Soon trees will start falling, and the ents will once again attack. Boy I can't wait for that movie.

I get messages a lot like this, seems like my first countdown number was off by a week or so! Oh well, its just one day this time. If you can show me some math (be sure to say which day you're starting from and going to) proving me wrong, I'll be glad to change it. But keep in mind that a few things in your calculations- 1. are you counting down the number of full days left? (eg on the 17th of December there will be no FULL days left, but one more sleep until it opens) 2. Is this an error in time change? A while back I recieved a PM like this, but it was sorted out when we figured that the other poster lived overseas (not in the Western Hemisphere) and the time changed made it go down a day, seeing as how I update in the afternoon.
This sort of thing gets complicated, but as I said, if you show some math I'll be glad to change it. But thanks for the watchful eye! (Like Sauron's actually... hmmm)

Well how about this... seems yet another official countdown has appeared on the LotR board. Isn't that something now? But I can't complain, I was mentioned by name in the other one, so at least I have the credit. But yet again we have a dispute over the number of days left. I'm getting too old for this job.
But on a light note- it looks like all our hard work is paying off here at the Countdown, I believe athene-5 (sp?) is putting our little thread on the good threads post. Finally, the fame and fortune we've been working for! Thanks athene! If I can make just one person look ahead, and countdown, it'll all be worth it. (and its nice to know that people actually read this!)

Boy, what's the deal with junk email? I get them all the time, about 50 a day. There's never anything I'm even remotly interested in, even if I trusted buying stuff on the internet in the base case.
Anyway, I got one today saying "God must really love stupid people, he made you," then proceeding to ask me to buy some morgage from them. Hmmm.

Boy what a day. Been working like a dog- lifting large pieces of lumber, carrying large pieces of lumber, doing various things with large pieces of lumber. Me and some buddies are building a trebuchet, which would fit in pretty easily in the world of LotR. In fact, I think I saw some at the battle of Helm's Deep. Boy, me and my friends should've been there, we would've owned it! (though they did pretty well without us)

Another day, another dollar. Well, not even another dollar I suppose. Anyway, still running low in the thinking of stuff to say in the countdown. Anyway, I'm watching The Simpsons- one of the best shows of all time. As a matter of fact, they did a spoof on Gollum, which I'm sure will be covered on other threads soon enough, if it hasn't been done already.

Wow, probably the earliest update of the Countdown done yet. I'm so proud of myself. Anyway, ouch! I have an evil sunburn on my arms and neck. Sigh, I never get tanned, just roasted. I wonder if Frodo or Sam got burned in Mordor or anything.

Boy I hate Tuesdays, they're my least favorite day of the week. I have stuff to do before school, then 2 things to do after school- I don't get a moments rest. Except for between 4:50 and 5:30 or so. Sigh... even Monday fares better, I have more free time. But enough about me.

Well bad news here at the official countdown, I heard reports that we were going to be on the "best threads" thread, but alas, we are not. At least not yet (hint HINT). Ah never mind, I don't want to complain about anything. Hey, is the best thread thread one of the best threads on said thread? Say that three times real fast.
No, faster!

127 days.
I forgot to mention that yesterday was the 120 day anniversary of the official countdown... almost 1/3 of a year.
Anyway, the line for X2 last night went around the block it was so long, I've never seen anything like it. All the showings were sold out before I even caught sight of the theatre, so me and my buddy got tickets to Anger Management (something I powerfully didn't want to see). When we got inside, we walked past the X2 room, and the first few rows are empty! So we decided, why not just wait and see if anyone goes in?? Guess what, no one did. How could it be sold out when the first 2 rows were empty??? I wonder how many people went home sad... Anyway, it was wrong, but no one suffered. Good movie, not LotR (though both end with a speech while an area floods), but decent. Better than Management would've been at least.
I had the SATs this morning, boy that was something. I was all excited because my last score was a 1370, and I understood a lot. This time I didn't know as many of the words, I ran out of time on one of the sections (missed 2 questions) and the readings were so BORING! I'll probably have to take them again sometime, but it might not be too bad. Anyway, imagine if the questions were about LotR... wouldn't that be cool! I think I'll start a thread about that right now.
126 days.
Well the thread on LotR SAT questions is off and is pretty popular. I like it a lot, its funny.
Anyway, a theatre is showing Dr. Zhivago nearby, so I'm going to take my mom to see it, sort of an early Mother's Day present. (She's a big fan of that movie) I'm really excited to see it, imagine it on the big screen! A 70mm movie- this will be a first for me.
By the way, did you know that David Lean wanted to direct a film version of LotR? I believe it was going to star the Beatles, but it didn't work out. Too bad, it would've been funny. But I wouldn't trade the version we have!

Hi all. I'm feeling strange today. I just got word that out of 350+ enteries, a play I wrote was one of the top six. I don't get any money or a statue or anything, but I got honorable mention, which I think is pretty good. 3 winner, 3 honorable mentions.
I'm really proud of myself, but somehow hm seems like the worst of the best. Sigh. I should be happy. So, YAY!! go me!! I guess I'm kinda like PJ, getting honorable mention, but not taking home anything. The judges wrote that I had a "good ear for diatog" which I'm still a little confused about... just kidding. But it wasn't nice of them to make fun of my ears. Anyway, good day all- and good luck to all the other aspiring writers on this board.

Decided to give blood today. Didn't actually give it today, only decided to do so. I'm doing in on Tuesday. You have to be 17 to do it, and I turn 17 one day earlier, which also means I can get into The Matrix 2 without a parent, who wouldn't enjoy it.
I found a discman today, and turned it in, turns out schools have nixed the policy of giving it to you if no one claims it after a while.
Matrix reloaded is rated R in the states?
Strange. Its 14A up here.
"There goes a lord who tamed a wild shieldmaiden of the North!"
Yeah its Rated R. I miss living in Hong Kong, where things were I, IIa, IIb or III. Anyone under 18 years of age could get into anything that wasn't a III. And they only gave that to ones with a sexy poster (American Beauty, Original Sin), or ones that were infamous with violence (Hannibal). I hated that system, because they never watched them to see what they were like, and what they deserved.

Big test tomorrow... AP (advanced placement) tests are all over the place now. I'm worried because its a history test, and my teacher hasn't covered all the material. We just finished WW2, and we're supposed to go to the post-Vietnam era. Yeah, that's right. So wish me luck!

Wow what a test... thankfully it wasn't too bad. I left 3 or so multi-choice questions blank, but the rest I'm pretty sure about. I knew a lot about the topic of the essays, so it shouldn't be too bad. Don't ever believe anyone that says not studying won't get you good grades.... but I jest, I actually studied everyday for the past week, though I should've been doing it for longer.
And the year isn't even over yet! Still another major exam, in the same class!
But speaking of History (which is what my test is on), here's something about me you don't know- my great(x8) grandfather on my mother's side signed the Declaration of Independence. His name is William Floyd in case you're interested.

119 days.
Sorry my message was so short yesterday, I just woke up when I wrote it.
Anyway, what a relaxing weekend its been so far. My major exam is over, and wasn't that bad (as I think I said on Friday), so I don't really have anything hanging over me. Yesterday I just watched a lot of movies.
Steel Magnolias (my mom's favorite, in honor of her and Mother's Day)
Leaving Las Vegas
Platoon
Citizen X- which has Donald Sutherland. Its a fine film, and if you haven't seen it, you would like it. Think of it as a Russian Silence of the Lambs, only based on a true story. I really enjoyed it, go rent it. (And I mention Mr. Sutherland because he reminded me so much of Ian McKellan in it. If he couldn't've played Gandalf, Mr. Sutherland wouldn't have been a bad choice at all.)
And, to all the ringnuts will children, have a Happy Mother's Day. I owe so much to my mom, and I'm sure your children are the same way. Everyone be sure to call your mom and wish them a happy one and tell them you love them if you can.

118 days.
Well my sister is home from college, its nice to have her around. The bad thing is that I still have school for about a month, so I can't really hang out with her or anything.
Anyway, my history teacher assigned a project today- do a film review of a film that's related to history. For those of you who know me (which no one here does), this is a topic that I shall enjoy very much. And just to give in that extra effort, I wrote a list of no less than 50 films that weren't on his list. (Including but not limited to: Tora! Tora! Tora!, Dog Day Afternoon, Dead Man Walking, Broken Blossems, The Birth of a Nation, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Caine Mutiny etc etc.) I really went nuts. Now my teacher is very impressed with me, impressed that one of his students watches old movies. Alas, LotR doesn't revolve around American History, otherwise, I'd pick that. Well, I'd probably pick something I haven't seen before. But you get the point.

117 days.
Well, today is ol' VOF's birthday, I'm a whopping 17 years old. Not having a party or anything, I'm not really a big fan of throwing parties or getting gifts (Oh great! A lunchbox!), but I might see The Matrix with a buddy of mine on Friday. Got a sweet card from some friends of mine, and a lollypop, Giant chewy SweetTart, and a paperclip (most of my friends didn't know today was my birthday- which is why the card meant so much, they remembered, kinda like the Hallmark slogan: "they'll never forget you remembered."). I'll be sure to give you the rundown on everything I got from my folks tomorrow.
2 more things for today, 1, a big thank you to the kind keepers of the Happy Birthday posts, that's a very nice idea that I didn't pay much attention until it was directed to me. I'll be sure to post a happy birthday to everyone from now on.
And 2, time for some deep thoughts. In a year, I imagine a lot of us won't be at this board anymore. A lot of threads revolve around RotK, and various OT subjects. I wonder, after RotK, will there mostly be OT threads? That might cause a lot of people to leave... and that would be bad.
One more thing. I've been doing the official countdown for a while now, about half a year (5.4/12 of a year probably), and I realized, I enjoy doing it. In a way, I'll be sad when RotK does come out, because this thread will be lost. (Same for when we move to the RotK board) To quote the Simpsons (they have a quote for everything): "Now, to the greatest moment of all! Better than the deed, better than the memory, the moment of anticipation!"
I guess I'll create a countdown to the DVD, then EE DVD, then various other movies. I guess I'm a counter.

Strange day today. I tried to give blood this morning, but before I could, I nearly passed out. I don't know why... I wasn't extremely worried about it (equal to when I get a shot at the doctor's office I guess). Must've been the dog chow.
Guess this means I wouldn't have been much help at Helm's Deep.

Lousey pop-up ads, you can't get rid of them. Now I have to click the close button TWO TIMES before they go away!! Ahhh! I just know Microsoft is doing this to me so I get pissed and buy their pop up blocker for $39.99. Pretty clever actually. Anyway, I'm (hopefully) going to go see The Matrix 2 tomorrow, as sort of a birthday party... I'm 17 now, so I can get in to R rated movies without a problem.
Math test today, I finished early, so I must've done something wrong.
Physics test tomorrow- should probably study... but I'm still sitting down.

Well my dad got tickets for me to the Matrix... poor guy had to stand in line in the rain for me... don't ever say your parents don't love you.
Actually there was no line, he was there when it opened, so I got tickets for me and my buddy. I can't wait! 1.5 hours left! 630 showing! I haven't read any reviews of it or anything, so I can go in fresh and make up my own mind. Hopefully I'll find it much better than part 1. (If only I had done that with LotR... gone in with a clear mind, and have my world rocked)

113 days.
I saw the Matrix last night, but I wouldn't want anyone to spoil it for me, so I won't do it for any of you. Won't even tell you what I thought of it (think of it)... I'll save that for tomorrow. Strange to think how the next Matrix film will be out before RotK. Sad, isn't it?
Anyway, it sure seems like RotK is getting close here! In about 2 weeks, both counters will surpass another hundred. There will be less than 100 days until the DVD, and less than 200 until the end.
Nice idea isn't it?

Well new RotK pictures are out at the official site: www.lordoftherings.net, they look pretty cool, though you can't tell much new. (A swamp-like place is the closest thing we can see to the paths of the dead, I believe its actually the opening to the path.) They certainly don't satisfy me.... I want more!! I've been having an ongoing debate with myself... should I, when the time comes, try to see everything RotK thing released? All the photos, trailers etc, or should I be surprised? I waited last year, and was glad I did... but I'm a bigger fan now...

Big fair at my school today, I was part of a group that built a trebuchet- a massive catapult-esque structure used for hurling rocks etc in the middle ages. 109 days.
Sorry about the oh so brief message yesterday... I was actually on a school trip to an amusement park. It wasn't a day off like you may think- we had to measure the velocity, energy etc of various rides. It was fun... though I don't like rollar coasters or things like that! The bad thing was that it rained most of the day, so I was soaked- too bad I wore a t-shirt and shorts. (It wasn't smart to go on the log ride either!) Anyway, I had more fun than I usually do at places like that, it was either the non-extreme rides I went on, or the fact that I was there with friends. I think the latter. Lesson for today- friends make everything better.
On a down note, I have to make up a lot of work at school now. Why aren't I doing my 3 needed math assignments?

108 days.
When I started this countdown, there were 351 days left, now, only 212. Meaning the official countdown has gone on for 139 days. I should be doing this tomorrow, when its an even 140, but I'm sure I'll forget by then. This means we've done 139 of the 351, or just under 40% of the total time.
In addition, we have 5088 hours left until it opens.

We're doing Mathmatical induction in my math class. I don't understand it at all. I'm really lost... and just when things were getting better for me in that class. Hopefully things will turn around.
In other news, no school on Monday, so I have a long weekend. Meaning I can sleep in!

Not much to say today folks. Got my SAT scores today, not bad, but not my best either. I should probably take them again sometime. I got a 1320 if you're wondering, 660 on both math and verbal. My best is 1370- but that was on a practice test. I'm kinda depressed now... either that or I'm just tired, which is more likely- haven't been getting much sleep lately. But anyway, everyone have a nice day today.

105 days.
Boy the board seems slow these days... usually I have to reach to page 5 or 6 to get at the Countdown, but lately its been on page 3. Of course one day last week it was on something like page 10, the longest I've ever seen it back.
Anyway, my computer crashed last night, but seems to be working now. This thing crashes more and more... last night it was Microsoft word that did it. WORD for crying out loud! That doesn't require internet or anything... makes me mad. Here's something interesting, if I have Minesweeper on, and change the volume, it messes everything up. Explain that one.
Have a nice day.

104 days.
I was watching LILO & STICH last night with my sister, and noticed that Stich is a lot like Gollum in LotR- they sound alike and slink around the same way. I haven't seen the animated version, is he kind of like that?
Anyway, have a nice day.

103 days.
Based on the tip of an alert reader, I've changed the Countdown day, luckily we're closer than we though. I'm a little discouraged by the number of people that have their own counters, which go to the nanosecond, but there's nothing I can do about it. Its kinda nice this way- the DVD will be released exactly 100 days before the movie opens. Anyway, have a nice day.

My mom got back from visiting her family yesterday, which is nice. She brung me back a bunch o' DVDs as a gift, some of which I've been wanting to see for quite a while (Changing Lanes, Frailty etc). But last night we watched ADAPTATION., which is one of the most inventive and clever movies I've ever seen. I didn't know some things could be done with movies until I saw that.
Anyway, I wonder what Tolkien would have thought of the LotR movies...

Hey all, how's it going.
I want to wish a happy 100th (!!!) birthday to Mr. Bob Hope, the living legend. May he continue to make us laugh.
Also, I hear that a musical of LotR is being made in London- by people who read my thread on the matter I suppose. Do you suppose any of the songs I wrote will be in it? I think so too.
I have a wicked headache (wicked?) today, which is too bad. Sometimes I'd rather have a big gash on my arm than a headache.
Oddly enough, I also have a song stuck in my head: Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones
Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday,
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day,
Still I'm going to miss you!
(Or something like that. The bad thing is that even though its stuck in my head, I don't know the words... I mainly sing the chorus.)

200 days!!!!! A MAJOR MILESTONE EVERYONE!!! GREAT JOB! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! (I SHOULD PROBABLY TURN ON CAPSLOCK, I HATE THE SHIFT KEY)
I read earlier today that the family of J.R.R Tolkien is upset about the musical I mentioned yesterday. They don't even like the movies. I can't understand that really... the movies made his books wildly popular again, and its not like they disgraced them or anything... they enhance them. Sigh, why aren't I part of a famous family? Or am I???

Well Ms. kimberleylotr has informed me yet again that the countdown is off in its days- makes you wonder how official this thing really is! (answer: not very)
Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Eventually we'll get down closer and closer, and we can finally have the correct answer, if we don't already. This is supposed to be a place for ringnuts to simply get a general idea about how much time if left, and if necessiary, cancel their trip overseas, away from their theatre.
Anyway, I love Sundays, one of my favorite days, especially when there's no school or anything on Monday. It gives me a chance to sleep in late (8:00 am), plus all the new stuff comes out on Sunday... the comics, the new Dave Berry article, Roger Ebert's new Great Movie or Answer Man... I'm a simple man with simple joys. I wish everyone a happy Sunday, and a Happy June.

Boy what a day. History exam today, and a math test. And for the longest time, I thought I also had a spanish test to worry about. But how silly of me, that's tomorrow. Sigh, the end of the year exams are going to be hard. Luckily some teachers are being somewhat nice about it- if, for example, I burst into flames and die before I take it, I'm excused. (this doesn't qualify for my Spanish test however)
I also got my yearbook today, which is nice. Not to be crude or anything, but this can be a good way to pick up girls (or guys, as the case may be). Asking someone to sign a year book is a good conversation opener. (Any young ladies in the audience would do me a favor explaining how they would react if someone asked them out in a yearbook note:
Dear girl,
Boy this year has been great... wanna go out sometime this summer? Anyway, HAGS
VOF)
And what's the deal with "HAGS?" I tell you, if one more person writes that in my yearbook, I'm going to go postal.
I'm sad about the year ending... this is the first time that I won't see my friends for a long time- if ever again. (Many are going to college) Well that's not true... it was the same last year when I moved 8000 miles away from home... but I'm a little sad anyway. I suppose I wouldn't be if I HAGS.
Have a nice summer.
This reminds me- I won't be around for a few long streaches in the summer, so I'll need someone to take over the countdown. If you're going to have access to a computer all summer, and would like to take over TOC (The Countdown) please PM me so we can make arrangements. (Sonny Joe, I'm looking in your direction, but I'm sure you'll be busy with colleges.)

Boy... exam week. The one I'm really worried about is Spanish... but math will also be hard... I keep thinking that the college I want to go to is watching me like Big Brother, waiting to see what I'll get on these. At least my history test is out of the way- and my Physics test is tomorrow. Spanish is Friday (grammar) and Monday (vocab). Math is next Thursday.
I'm worried. Send me some happy thoughts ok? And if any of you are fluent Spanish speakers, or Math teachers etc, why don't you come over and pretend to be me huh?
On a LotR note, I figured out a Spanish vocab word ("conejo"- meaning rabbit) after remembering the conversation between Sam and Gollum, as he was cooking rabbits. ("Only one way to cook a coney!") Wouldn't have known it otherwise. Guess I'm a stupid fat hobbit.

I had my physics exam today... not too hard, but I know there are a few that I didn't get right. I hate that. I've done really well this entire year in that class, but I can't take tests as well as I would like, so I blow it at the end. I also had a PE test today, but it wasn't bad.
Really worried about Friday and Spanish.
But enough about me, have a nice day.

I'm feeling pretty good today. Don't ask me why... I suppose its because the tests I thought I did poorly on went much better than I expected. I have an A in physics for the year!! I actually got some extra credit for writing down a lot of stupid physics puns that I made up throughout the year. (eg: "he broke the law of physics, we should throw him in prism.") Pretty sweet deal.
My spanish test isn't weighing as heavily on my mind as before. I wrote my own study sheet, with everything that was on my teacher's, and got it down to a manageable 2 pages. And not much to remember on it either. Just a few basic rules and tenses. (Her's was 7 pages long) But I'm still worried about it, so I'll spend the rest of tonight studying and watching Seinfeld. (So when I fail, I'll know who to blame)
Wish me luck! And have a nice day!

Well there's a big load off my mind... not that the spanish exam is over and done with- til' Monday at least, when we do vocabulary. This one wasn't that bad, but I know I goofed up a few things...
But that's it! Except for a math exam, which is multi-choice (for some reason), and shouldn't be too much of a problem. Oh yeah, I also have a history exam on the Vietnam War.
To all our Sweedish readers, have a happy National Day, or Shavuot, according to my calender. Sorry if I got it wrong.
I'd like to deticate today's post to all the brave men, from all counteries who died today 59 years ago. Today, June 6th, is of course, D-Day, when the allied powers launched an invasion into France. Thank you men for your sacrifice. Let us hope that they did not die in vain.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Took the SAT 2 this morning... writing, literature, and math. I think I did pretty well, except for on the literature section... hopefully I didn't do as bad as I think, just that I had no idea what the sections were about. I recognized one- Moby Dick (that took a long time to read- and I only had an hour)- but the rest were alien to me. Plus, they were all written before the invention of grammar, so they were a little confusing. But enough about me.
Have a nice day- and to all high school seniors, have a great graduation! Good luck in life and don't forget to write!

I feel bad... a friend of mine wants me to go over to his house today, but I have to blow him off because I need to study for exams. The same thing happened a few weeks ago with my history exam... I hope he doesn't get the wrong impression.
Anyway, have a nice day.

Well, good news everyone!! (for me at least) Today I took my last Spanish test.. my next one will be a few minutes after HELL FREEZES OVER!!!!
Anyway, I'm excited... I've never been good at Spanish, so I'm glad its over. All I have to worry about now is a math test (multi-choice, which is odd, because my teacher makes such a big deal about showing work), and a history test... which I'll just read the book for.
The year, is over. At least it is for everything I'd use it for.
Have a nice day, because I will!

Today was my last day of school. Last real day at least. The next two days are just final exams. Not hard. Tomorrow is English (about as hard as cheese), then the next day is history and math. I'm not too worried about those. Then after that, I'll be on vacaction, meaning someone will take over for me. Hopefully my usual replacement will be around. But that's a while off, enjoy yourselves, and your vacaction!
Have a nice day!

English exam today... not hard at all. Just write 2 essays. I'm pretty good at that sort of thing most of the time.
Anyway, this time tomorrow, school will be over and done with for good. The only bad news is that I think I'm coming down with the flu. Hope I get better before Saturday, when I go on vacaction.

Well it's all over... the final day of school has come to pass. I had a history and math test, but I think I did fine. I'm still pretty sick, turns out I have a pretty wicked sinus infection. What happened is that they swelled, and started cutting in on my air ducts (why not?). As such, according to my medical dictionary, I feel like a mother. (Not literally, more like a mother bad word.)
But its over! Tomorrow I have a party to attend, then vacaction!
But on a sad note, I'd like to express my grievances regarding the passing of the great actor Gregory Peck. A wonderful actor, and a gentleman too. His departure will be greatly missed.
Have a nice day, and a great summer!

Good news, I just got my driver's licence! So all of you watch out!
Anyway, I'd love to talk more, but I'm leaving tomorrow to visit family, and I need to pack. As usual, I will be replaced by your friend and mine, Sonny Joe Money. He knows the score.
I'll be back in about 2 weeks.
Have a good one!

Hello there! Sonny at your service, filling in for Val while he's away.
High school graduation last night. Woohoo I'm done. Anyway, to make this On Topic: yesterday the junior class hosted a luncheon, as they do every year, for the seniors at which they gave out pens with bubble solution in the tops. These pens have a large-ish plastic nob at the end where the blowing wand is. Everyone brings them to graduation and blows bubbles while the list of names is being read. Now, my school's colors are blue and white, and so at graduation the boys wear blue robes and the girls wear white ones. As I was leaving my house last night to go to the ceremony, I put on my white robe, clutched my large, imposing-looking bubble pen, and since my hair was down (though it isn't grey), I was Gandalf! It was great. I kept telling my dad that he should not pass when he was trying to get to the car. I at least had fun.

Happy Fathers' Day to all you fathers out there! You guys are wonderful and deserving of much thanks.
Taking a break in the middle of a busy day. This morning I had to get up at seven to go and do barn chores, then when I was done at ten or eleven I drove over to the horse show (where I think I got sunburnt), was there til about quarter to two, and now I have to take a shower and go to a graduation party, coming home in time for Fathers' Day dinner! I'm tired already.
Have a great day everyone, and tell your father how much you appreciate him!

I'm thinking of renting Bakshi's LotR, just to make fun of it. I'm not sure if I want the permanant emotional scars that it seems to cause, though. Ah, the agony of choice!

Hello all. I'm currently reading the Silmarillion and am surprised at how well I am remembering the names. Though I do keep forgetting who Ulmo is. Anyway, I've gotten to the Chaining of Melkor and the sundering of the Elves. Pretty nifty stuff. Tolkien was incredible. The thoroughness of the world he created never ceases to amaze me.
Have a great day everyone!

Well, one hundred eighty days til RotK. Exactly one school year in PA. 'Course, the school year doesn't count weekends, while they are included in the countdown number, so it is less than 9 months. In fact it's about 6 months. But still. That's 25 weeks and 5 days.
How about I exchange my summer vacation's length for the length of the RotK wait, and the length of the RotK wait for my summer vacation's length?
80 days.
As I type the DVD number it seems a little long to me, since the DVD comes out before my summer vacation is over and unfortunately my vacation is not 80 days long! I think it would be
11 days left in June + 31 days in July + 26 days in August = 68 days,
but that excludes today and includes Aug. 26, so I don't know if you should believe me. I'm nowhere near as official as Val is!
I just saw the Peter O'Toole tribute at this year's Oscars again. I love Peter O'Toole. I feel the need to watch Lawrence of Arabia again. Don't ask me what this has to do with LotR. Also, if anyone knows where I can find How to Steal a Million I would greatly appriciate it. Yes, I am crazy; thank you for asking.

I think I'll just have to turn AIM off because frankly cut it out! Oops sorry that was the wrong window I meant to type that in AIM and now isn't it fun to watch Sonny go crazy? I think I'll just give up. So everyone, if you see your brother today, smack him. Thank you.

Rain rain rain. It rained yesterday, it's going to rain tomorrow, and it has rained all day today. Four hours ago we had four inches of rain, and it has rained steadily since. I don't think I'll ever be dry. It will be very sloppy at the horse show tomorrow.
Well, I'll be off now. Gotta go put water in the pool.
Just kidding. I'm not that nuts.

Well, the show was ucky and cold, but on the whole enjoyable. It didn't rain heavily for too long, mostly just a drizzle. Still very wet, though. I'm now very tired but have yet another graduation party to go to. I will be doing that all summer, I fear. But when I come home this evening and finally get to relax it will be very nice. Got to be going now; hopefully I'll be back this evening.
Have a great day!

I had a very productive day today. Cleaned my room in the morning and went to work in the afternoon. I had FotR playing on the computer in my room while I cleaned. It was great! I spent about an hour and a half rearranging my books. I had to adjust the heighths of all the shelves but one was bolted in place and the little prong thingies of others were stuck. I still not quite satisfied with them quite yet. So many books! I love it.
Have a great day!

This entire past weekend we had a high temperature of around 55 degrees. Now, today, the high is 90 degrees! A little weird-feeling. When I got in my car after work I nearly burned my fingers putting the windows down, and could only touch the steering wheel with the heels of my hands. The open windows didn't do much to cool it down, either. Instead of being hot in the car, it was windy and hot. I enjoyed it though. Finally feels like summer!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hey everyone, I'm back!! Hope ya'll didn't miss me too much. I was in Texas visiting family... thanks again to Sonny Joe for taking the reins while I was unable to. Didn't SJM do a great job folks! Come on, give it up for our new graduate!!
Anyway, I don't really have any LotR news... I actually found a copy of FotR in my grandfather's house, who knows what he's doing with it, its not really his sort of movie. He doesn't like new movies, and actually, I don't think he would like LotR. Probably too violent or loud for him. He'd watch it though, can't say that about everyone.
Anyway, other than that, my flight coming back home had the LotR soundtrack on their audio selection. I would've listened, but this is the kind of airplane that doesn't give out earphones. You can buy them, but you would need to sell your house. By the way, what's the deal with airlines charging people to get food now??? I hope in the least, it tastes better than the "food" they used to serve for free, which tasted kinda like old earphones. Boy I hate airplanes, they always sit me next to the wing, so even if I were deaf I would complain about the noise. This time the fat person that always sits next to me was gone, but his understudy filled in for him- a crying baby. I'm sure you've been in such a situation, and I urge you to vote for Proposition 46343, which says that killing airline infants is legal.
My last bit of LotR news... I was the lord of the rings for a brief moment. My sister left a ring at my grandparent's house a while ago, and I found it and brought it back to her. In a way, I was Frodo, in that we were both taking a ring on a journey (get the parallel?). I didn't have to throw it into fire, but if you've ever met my sister, it was close enough.
Just kidding, have a nice day.

Hey, a palendrome day, if that's how you spell it (palindrome?). In case you didn't know, the you can make a palendrome out of any number, if you just reverse it, and add them together. For example, our DVD days, 72, can be made into one by adding 27 to it. It comes up 99. Pretty neat huh? Ok, not really.
Anyway, important LotR news today, the first teaser poster was released. I like it: Aragon holding Narsil, and looking serious. What's he got to worry about? He's ARAGON for crying out loud. Anyway, check it out.

Boy, I really wish PJ would hurry up and put out a trailer. Didn't TTT's trailer come out in front of FotR during the end of its run? Why didn't they do that this time? Or is TTT still playing in major cities? Hasn't been here in months. Early Febuary at the latest. I wonder what's taking so long. It seems like the trailer will be out after the DVD, which has a sneak peek at it. Boy, sometimes I just don't understand it.
Anyway, got to go shave. No matter what I do, it keeps coming back.

Well in another horrible blow to classic movie lovers like myself, one of the great greats, Katharine Hepburn, sadly passed away yesterday. The stars of one of my all time favorite films, THE AFRICAN QUEEN, will be sorely missed. And along with Gregory Peck, probably the finest generation of actors is closing, not since the passing of Billy Wilder has Hollywood been so sad.
But in lighter news, I have senior pictures today, and I got my SAT2 scores back, and with no false modesty, I think I did pretty good.
Have a nice day everyone.

I saw HULK last night, it was pretty good. Don't think I'd see it again in a short period of time, but I enjoyed it. If you like action movies or comic books, you should check it out. And if you're one of those people that believe that comics tell stories that are just as mature as novels etc, you'll really like it.
I also bought the Harry Potter book for my sister yesterday, though by some mix up I'm reading it first. Just about 300 pages into it- so not quite halfway (isn't that strange!). These books are really easy to read. LotR is harder, but more rewarding I think. I wonder what Harry Potter would be like if not for LotR. Think it'd be much different?
Anyway, have a nice day.

Went to the dentist this morning, and I was surprised to know that the aim of the dentist has changed since I last visited. They used to clean your teeth, now they stab you in the gums "by accident." I did not enjoy myself there. They had this vibrating thing which they said got the tarter off your teeth but I wouldn't know because they never touched it to my teeth, just the soft parts of my gum. When I was finally released, I looked down at that sheet they cover your chest with, and it was splattered with blood. I didn't get so bloody when I fell on my bike. (fell off it actually)
Anyway, after the nurse did her thing, over and over, each time with a different stabbing devise, the doctor came in for about one minute, asked me 2 questions and charged me $113. To top it off, when they weren't lecturing me on how the world was going to explode because of my poor flossing habits, I had to watch the Wimbleton game on TV. To some people, this would be good, but I know as much about tennis as a cat knows about nuclear physics (one of those stupid cats, who know nothing about nuclear physics). I couldn't figure out why the players were so mad at each other when there was a sign flashing on the bottom of the screen saying "love," which could only refer to the players. Anyway, when they did change the channel they changed it to a video of cleaning my teeth. To strike back, I stole a free sample of toothpaste. Sure it was free, but they didn't even offer it to me. Plus they took my blood pressure. Why would a dentist take your blood pressure?
Anyway, it wasn't a fun time. Rather than throwning criminals into jail, we should work on their teeth. We wouldn't even need records, we'd just see who has really white teeth. I can hear them getting worried now, we'll be able to tell who they are by their blood pressure.
Anyway, have a nice day. I will, along with some novocaine.

Sorry folks, I really messed up on the DVD countdown. I must've pressed the addition button twice when I first added it up or something. Anyway sorry. Thanks to Sonny Joe Money who mentioned it during my break. Anyway, it should be correct now. Nice to know that I was more than 10 days off. Makes it easier to swallow.
I finished the Harry Potter book a few days ago, boy, if I could only get through my school books that quickly. Anyway, meeting a friend later today, having coffee, though I don't drink it (this should be interesting), first social movement from me in a week, and I'm actually looking forward to it. Go figure.
Anyway, have a nice day.

Hello again! You can't get rid of me that easily.
The college students who have invaded my house and kept me prisoner in my room for two days are currently watching The Princess Bride, so I may have to emerge from my lair and find a spot on the family room floor.
Today's fun fact: The hunter classes at American horse shows are in a sense a more sophisticated form of Britsh working hunter classes.

An even number for RotK and less than 50 for the DVD!
I have to go get shots today. My mother claims I'm not allowed to live in a dorm at college unless I get them. I think she's lying. I mean, come on, what's a little meningitis between friends?
Anyway, I'm really dreading going. I hate shots. Even when it's other people getting them.
I signed up for my classes today too. A pain in the neck. It was all online but they kept telling me things I had to do and then giving no explanation of where or how to do them. Also they told me to check for scheduling conflicts but then they never told me at what times the three classes that I had to take were offered, and they make me pick four choices for each of the electives, so how am I to ensure that none of the four in one group intersect with any of the four in the other group? It was very frustrating. I just gave up and submitted the stupid thing. They said I could fix it when I get there. Also this is their first time with the online system, so they are very forgiving of problems.
Have a nice day, and mentally send me pictures of things to distract we while I'm being given those shots!

Spent the day trying to clean my room. I think I have found the root problem of it all: my desk is too small. Or I have too much stuff. Either way.
I began Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth last night, and I fininshed the first section "Of Tuor and His Coming to Gondolin". I really like the description of the Seven Gates. Also, if I were a guy, I would change my ID to Voronwë. But I'm not. So I won't. I also started the Narn i Hîn Húrin, and I'm pleased to note that I never did like Túrin.
I just discovered a new alt symbol. I mean, it's new to me. Here it is: ♫. Tada! 'Alt' + '1' + '4'. Exciting.
Also, what the heck is this thing: ₧?
Have a nice day!

Today I blew off two graduation parties and went riding. I enjoyed it very much. It's not that I like blowing people off, but it's just that these are people whom I will never see again and I barely saw them before either. When my actual friends had parties I went to theirs, because they are people I actually care about. But it's getting expensive to keep buying gifts for people that I don't really even know. I mean, I know them, but they are hardly more than acquaintances. I've already gone to maybe 20 parties and have at least 10 more. So I quit. It's a very nice feeling.
Have a great day everyone!

Sorry this post is so late. I've been at the barn since quarter to nine this morning and I only just got home. I'm very tired and a little sunburnt. My feet also hurt. But I had fun. We were painting jumps for the show we are having on Wednesday, and my riding instructor's dog kept brushing against the wet paint. He looked so funny by the end of the day. Also, he only tried to attack me a few times, so that was better than normal (He's about a year old, so he only "attacks" in fun. Fun for him, that is). By the end of the day I was very tired and I was acting so silly. It was funny. This morning as I was doing chores I cast most of the horses in the barn as characters in LotR. Finding an Aragorn and a Legolas was really hard, but I am quite pleased with my Pippin, Gimli, and Arwen.

Later than normal again. I was at the barn all morning, and then had work until now. My riding instructor is a professional photographer as well, so for her graduation gift to me and the two other girls at my barn who graduated is a framed photograph of us jumping our horses. She took them today, and my horse was surprisingly good. But then he likes the camera.

My horse was sooooooo good at the horse show today! We got second in the Open Hunter under saddle and the Open Hunter over fences and third in the Open Hunter stake! My trainer said he flatted almost like a normal horse! He's usually really quick, but today he just cantered along like nobody's business. There was one fence in the stake to which we should've had a perfect spot, but for some reason he chipped it at the last second. Ah well, I can forgive him for that! He's such a good boy. And in the Equitation Derby Challenge I got sixth. I didn't ride my horse, because in this particular class you flat, then switch horses and flat again. Other people have problems controlling my horse. So I rode a school horse and he kicked out when I asked for canter and then when we switched direction he kicked out when I squeezed, so I hit him with my crop, and then he bucked, so I hit him again, and then he bucked again, so I hit him again, and then he cantered. And then when we switched horses I drew the horse owned by one of the younger kids at the barn and his trot was hideously uncomfortable but his canter was amazing. My horse has very comfortable gaits, but Tony (the horse I drew) has a horrible trot and a beautiful canter. When the judge had us trot without stirrups I couldn't get the right hand one back, so I cantered the second direction without it. I think the bucking and the trot and the stirrup were what caused the sixth place. But I was a little surprised I pinned at all as it was a really big class, so it was nice. Now I have to go to work.
Have a great day everyone!!

42 days.
Six weeks to the DVD! I think. Because 7*6=42, which would seem to indicate six weeks, but then these things never work out the way I think they will.
I just added 7 pounds of baking soda to our pool. It's so much fun! I confirm that baking soda and water do indeed produce an endothermic reaction. When you hold a handful of baking soda under the water and move your hand around it produces the neatest cold feeling. Not the normal feelimg of cold water. Also I can make my hand look moldly. Quite a useful talent.
Have a great day everyone!

An even 150 days!! I'm so excited I can barely sit still.
It's really wet here today. Not currently raining, just wet. Everything feels sticky. And if you watch my hair you can actually see the curls forming, no elapsed time needed.
Today I get to sit around and do nothing, something I haven't done in a while. Also, I was just at the Barnes & Noble website and they have changed their free shipping policy to orders over $25 instead of just any two items. I'm very mad. I found two books there that were cheaper than at Amazon, and I was going to buy them and get free shipping, but now they've changed it and my total will be less than $25 and now I hate their guts. But I'm still cheerful. I find that I can hate direct merchants and still maintain an unruffled calm. I guess I'm just superhuman.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

40 days.
I had work today. It was very long and very boring. We filled 51 prescriptions in eight hours. 51!!!!!! It was so unbelievably slow the pharmacist and I thought we were going to shoot ourselves. I had a book, so I read part of the time, but I'm not allowed to sit down when I can possibly be seen by customers, and I have to stay in sight. My feet really hurt.
I may not be able to post tomorrow. I'm going to a very far away horse show and I don't know when I'll be getting home. I'll probably make it, but still.
Have a great day everyone!

I didn't get to go to the show today. My riding instructor couldn't find anyone to do barn chores for me. I was mad, especially since they took my sweat sheet to the show without asking me. But I'm ok now. Nothing much happened today except that I did lots of barn chores. Lots and lots. I had to do the afternoon chores as well. I'm very tired. My dog is very cute, by the way. She's sitting next to me and wants me pet her, so I am. She's a sweetie. So's my horse.
Have a nice day!

Nothing much going on today. I have to be at work in about an hour, but that's nothing new. Kind of yucky out today. Not raining, but cloudy and muggy. That's all I've got to say, really.

On my way to the barn. My friend and I have a little "thing" wherein we go to see my horse and ride, go to lunch, and then go to see her horse. Normally it's a Saturday thing, but we're doing it today. Why? Because we feel like it. I just wish it weren't raining. We had HUGE storms last night, with lots of wind and thunder and lightning. It was pretty cool. Lots of trees down, and our power went out a few times. I love summer.

My mother is forcing me to clean my room today. The tyranny! On a day that I have to go to work, too. I sound really lazy, don't I? It's just that I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I won't be able to do anything for the next four to six days. I'm kind of scared about my teeth. I wish I could skip ahead a week to when I'm feeling better already. Ah well.
Have a great day everyone.

Just got my teeth out. I don't really think I'm gonna make sense. Also it's hard to type lying down with the laptop on my stomach. My mommy put my "Sports Night" DVDs on, and I've been dozing to it. I feel really weird, you know? My dad read the first sentence and said, "You got all your teeth out?" teasing like. I think I'm gonna go back to sleep now. Or maybe have a little Jell-o. Bye bye.
Have a good day all you people.

Feeling a little better today. I ate eggs before. My mouth still hurts some, but the ice is nice. As are mice. Sorry; I had to. My bestest friend wants me to go see Seabiscuit with her tonight, and I think I'll be able to go. Just no popcorn or straws! It was going to be me, her, my other friend who is her boyfriend, and her brother. I really want to go, but she said that if I can't she'll go with me some other time. I love her. She's very good at being a friend. Not just about the movie, but other things as well. I'm just a little loopy right now.
Have a good day everyone!

35 days.
I got to go with my friend to the movie and stay over at her house. Then we went to my barn and I watched her lesson. I couldn't ride, what with my medication and all. Then we went to my house for lunch because I have to rinse my mouth out with salt water after I eat. I don't really know how I would do that in a restaurant. Also, what would I eat there, you know? Then we went to her barn and worked with her horse. And we actually got something done, too. I don't feel too bad. Just my mouth feels weird and my jaw is tired. I'm pretty tired, too. I'm gonna go take a shower and then eat a little, and then go to sleep. How nice.
Hope everyone had a good day!

Nothing much going on. Feeling a little weird today. Stupid teeth. How did, say, the Native Americans survive with no one taking their wisdom teeth out, huh? They got along just fine.
My mouth hurts.

20 weeks to RotK!! Slightly less than half a year!! Shoot me now. I'll never make it. How can it possibly be that long still to wait?? How?!? It's been forever! The TTT EE will be a great relief, but that's still not until November! I was watching some of the extras on the FotR EE and I almost went nuts I wanted to see the TTT EE so badly. Someone posted a list of the scenes that will be added and I got so excited. I will be awesome.
I can't believe I'm this excited about a DVD. I'm not this excited about going to college. Unfortunately I have to wait longer for the DVD, too.
Have a nice day everyone! I will be going to work today for the first time since I got my teeth out. I think I'll be ok.
I almost got through the entire post without mentioning my teeth. How nice.
See you all around!

32 days.
Began reading LotR again this morning. I'm not quite finished with "Unfinished Tales" yet (but who ever is? Aha ha ha ha huuuum) but I couldn't help myself any longer. I want to see how many more little references I catch in LotR after having now read the Silmarillion and most of "Unfinished Tales" (which I will continue to read while reading LotR). I'll also have a lot of questions about nitpicky things in the book, so be prepared for them to start popping up on the boards.
Going to the barn later to get ready for the next horse show. I wish my teeth (or lack thereof) would stop hurting.
Have a great day!

31 days.
Had a horse show again today, then had to head straight to work, so I didn't have time to post. I got home about two hours ago but I just plain forgot about it. I'm watching Topaz, one of the few Alfred Hitchcock movies I hadn't seen yet. So far it's pretty good. Could've used a stift edit however.
Teeth Update: Fair. They sort of hurt today. I think it's the stitches rubbing and pulling, you know? Irritating. And my face really hurts when I laugh. I was doing a lot of that at the barn. The main problem today was that I felt very sick. I was kind of worried but the pharmacist at work said that antibiotics make many people feel very sick so that makes me feel a little better. And I didn't feel so awful after I had something to eat, which the pharmacist also said to expect. I can't wait until these stitches are gone and I'm off these meds.
Ok, enough rambling about myself. Hope you all had a good day!

30 days.
I again think the DVD number is wrong, but still doubt that my officialness is sufficient to change it.
I got my stitches out today! Getting them out hurt rather a lot, but I feel much better now. Less stinging. I think in a day or two I may feel like chewing again! Yay. When I do I will be getting myself a veggie hoagie from Subway. I love those things. And tomorrow is my last day of penicillin! So exciting.
Topaz was ok. A little too long, and rather anticlimactic. But it has that shot of the woman in the dark purple dress falling onto the black and white checked floor, which rather makes up for it.
I wish I hadn't agreed to work this Saturday.
Have a great day everyone!

29 days (perhaps).
I went shopping with my mommy today. We went to luncha at Olive Garden first, though for me it was actually breakfast.
Then we went to the mall because I had gift certificates. I got shower shoes for school for only $5, two pairs of comfortable shoes for walking around campus which were very cheap, and since I got twp pairs my mom was able to get a pair free. And then I bought a shirt with Gir from "Invader ZIM" on it. I was very very excited about that. We went in the toy store to see the LotR action figures and some man and his daughter practically pushed me out of the way and then stood there for about ten minutes blocking everything. Very rude. I don't really like the way those ToyBiz figures look. But every time I go near a toy store I pop in and see them. I can't help it. It's LotR. I also went in the Suncoast Video but they had nothing. And the LotR soundtracks at Fye were more expensive then they are at Amazon, though I was expecting that. We spent about half an hour in a dollar store looking at glass bead bracelets to use as curtain tie-backs. I got a little obsessive about finding the best looking ones. All in all we had fun.
Now since it's raining out I'm going to lie on the couch and read my book.
Hope everyone else has an equally nice day!

28 days.
Actually the DVD number probably is correct counting today and the day it comes out, so forget I said anything.
I had work today. All day. I had to be there at nine this morning and so asked my mother to wake me up at 8:15. My parents have not slept past 8:00 in years. Today they did, however. I woke up at about 8:50 and was at work by 9:09. It usually takes me about fifteen minutes to get there. I was quite proud. The pharmacist wasn't upset and was very understanding. I'll set my alarm next time.
Have a great day everyone!

I almost completely forgot about posting this! I did my barn chores in the morning and remembered about posting as I was running out the door to go to Church, but when I got home again I forgot. Fascinating story I know.
I spent practically all day after Church reading The Far Pavilions by M. M. Kaye. It's really good. And it's so much fun reading something I've never read before. So if you're looking for something to read I highly recommend it!

I have to go to work today. I complain about that a lot, don't I? Well too bad; I'm not going to stop! I did go riding this morning, so it's not so bad. But my mom has been making me clean my room. Not what i had in mind. But I s'pose it must be done. I had been planning to watch "Blackadder" on my computer. I love my big monitor.
I have to go iron my pants for work now. Have a nice day!
Tried to post this five hours ago. Wouldn't take. Stupid boards.

Hey Val,
I hate to steal your thunder, but our friend Jon Lyrik has already got a countdown going on the ROTK board. (although he hasn't been *quite* as conscientious about it as you, so far)
Maybe you guys should team up?

Then it has all been in vain. The official countdown has failed. Maybe one of us should do hours or something... By the way, is TTT board still the main LotR board? We moved last year around September or something if I'm not mistaken...
There is a little activity over there, but not much as yet.
This is still definitely the place to be for the moment.

Okay, I added it up (hope it's right) I got 265.

Could you show your math for getting 265? Its very possible you're right, but I haven't missed a day that wasn't covered for me in a long while. And from what I'm told, my number matches the one at some other countdown. But thanks for caring!

Last time you posted was the 17th though wasn't it, I don't know maybe I didn't see your last post.
April(30)=30 + May(31)=61 + June(30)=91 + July(31)=122 + August(31)=153 + Sept(30)=183 + Oct(31)=214 + Nov(30)=244 + March(5 days left)=249 + Dec(16 days)=
265
But since you're the one keeping track I probably messed up something.
"Am definitely prettiest member of the Fellowship. Go me!"

I see the difference in our math. I'm doing it until December 17th (so 17 in December, not 16). Also as I count today as a full day. I think I'm right, but who knows.... its pretty close at least, come December we know it all for sure.

Yeah, I downloaded it (at clockdown.com). It has 4 different skins actually (which you can rotate/change [on a daily basis, on startup, or whenever you want to]). One pic of Aragorn, one of Gandalf, one with Sam and Frodo, and one with Gollum. It's pretty cool! [only it doesn't make the time go by faster unfortunately. On the contrary I'd say . But it's still cool, in a masochistic kinda way... ]
'Shh! Gandalf's thinking.'

Yeah,it is really cool!
I am very faithful to the Aragorn clock design. I got him on the desktop and screensaver too... Masohistic? Definitely.

I just had two of them! English lit on Monday and calculus AB today. The tests are three hours long (well, calc was 3 hr 15 min), but we were in the room for about five hours each time. I was fried to a crisp after them. So much thinking!
Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll do well!
